FAQs – Audi quattro Ski Cup Public Hochwurzen Schladming 2026

1. What is the Audi quattro Ski Cup Public?
The Audi quattro Ski Cup Public offers ambitious skiers the opportunity to compete in a giant slalom on a professionally prepared racecourse. Timekeeping is carried out by the Schladming Ski Club. After each race session, which lasts around two hours, the three fastest participants are celebrated at an award ceremony in the finish area.

2. When does the event take place?
The start times of the public races are:
  • Friday, March 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.

3. When should I arrive at the start of the race?
Please plan your arrival at the starting point of the race 1 hour and 15 minutes before your personal race time in order to participate in the brief introduction and the race.

4. Where does the event take place?
The meeting point is at the race track in Hochwurzen Schladming. The start of the race is located near the Obertalbahn mountain station, where you will receive a brief introduction before you start and show what you are made of. The finish line is located near the Tauernalm (Rohrmoosstraße 208, 8971 Schladming).

5. What is the best way to get there?
The Hochwurzen Schladming ski area is easily accessible by both car and public transport. By car, you can reach Schladming via the Ennstal road (B320) and continue towards Rohrmoos/Hochwurzen. If you are travelling by public transport, we recommend taking the train to Schladming railway station. From there, regular bus services take you directly to Hochwurzen valley station.

6. How many participants can take part?
There are 70 starting slots available per race.

7. How much does participation cost?
Participation in the Audi quattro Ski Cup Public is free of charge.

8. What requirements must I meet to participate? What should I be aware of?
If you meet the following requirements, nothing stands in the way of your participation in the Audi quattro Ski Cup Public:
  • The minimum age for participants is 18 years.
  • A valid ski pass is required to take part. The ticket must be purchased separately at the mountain railway before the start of the race.
  • Appropriate insurance coverage is strongly recommended in the case of an accident.

9. Are there any minimum sporting requirements? Do I need to bring my own ski equipment?
The event is suitable only for advanced skiers (confident skiing on red slopes). This basic requirement allows us to provide the best possible experience for all participants.
All participants are responsible for bringing their own appropriate equipment, which should include:
  • Weather-appropriate ski clothing (ski jacket & ski pants, gloves)
  • Ski helmet and ski goggles (helmets are mandatory!)
  • Ski boots
  • Skis and ski poles
You don´t need a racing suit in order to participate.

10. How can I register?
Registration is possible directly via the event website. In addition, you can also register on-site at the race slope on March 6, 2026 and March 8, 2026. Both online and on-site registration follow the principle of “first come, first served.”

11. What happens if I need to cancel my participation? Is rebooking possible?
A free cancellation is possible at any time via email to Lisa Oppitz (eventinfo@audi.at). If you are unable to use your booked starting slot, we kindly ask you to inform us as soon as possible. If you cannot attend your booked race but would like to choose another slot instead, please also cancel via eventinfo@audi.at and rebook via the registration page.

12. Will my personal data be passed on to Audi for marketing purposes?
During the registration process, you have the option to give your consent to the use of your data for marketing purposes. You can revoke this consent at any time.

Of course! After your race, you will have the opportunity to evaluate your personal experience at the Audi quattro Ski Cup Public by completing a short questionnaire and providing us with valuable feedback. Completing the questionnaire takes only a few minutes.
